In January 2017, Huntingdon and Papworth fire service arrived to find a house filled with smoke on Veasey Road, Hartford, after a kitchen cooker was left on.

Firefighters rescued two cats and used Smokey Paws oxygen masks to revive them!

It was reported in The Hunts Post that watch commander Stocker Standon said: “The cats were suffering from smoke inhalation. They were pretty lethargic but they were administered oxygen via our Smokey Paws oxygen masks and were revived before being handed back to their owner.”

We had introduced a set of Smokey Paws oxygen masks to fire engines in Cambridgeshire a year before following our partnership with Cambridgeshire Fire Service.
