Firefighters from Lydd in Kent arrived at the scene of a road accident involving two cars in July 2016 to find that two horses injured and visibly shaken. One of the horses was treated by the fire service with oxygen administered via one of our masks.

The vet informed Lydd’s watch manager that it was the best thing they could have done for the animal.

Horse and Hound reported that the pair of horses had been travelling in a trailer being towed by one of the vehicles involved in the accident, and they had to be freed by members of the public.

The oxygen masks had been provided by us earlier in the year, following a donation by Dungeness Power Station.
